Rain Again At Spencer!

”It’s been one of those
years,” stated promoter John White. “We just can’t get a break
with the weather on Fridays.”
This quote can be probably attributed to any northeast promoter who has a
track operating on Fridays or Sundays. The wet weather just
continues to win out.
Last Friday, sever thunderstorms ranged free around central and western
New York forcing many tracks to cancel racing for the evening.
As for Spencer it was the fifth cancellation of the 2017 racing
SPENCER NOTES: NY SuperStock drivers are encouraged to get transponders
for the upcoming Dave London Memorial in August. Race officials
would like to beginning using them, especially with lap awards
on the line….The Kids will have “Super Hero Night” next week,
when they can dress up as their favorite Super Hero…The Kids
will have bicycle races on Friday August 18. They need a helmet
On Friday, August 11, Spencer Speedway will be featuring a regular
program of Sunoco Modifieds, Grandpa Dog 4-Cyclinder and Super
Six racing. Added to that will be the final “practice” session
for the New York SuperStocks as they get ready for the annual
Dave London Memorial scheduled for August 25th. The SuperStocks
will run heats followed by a 25-lap feature next week. Race time
starts at 7:15 p.m. sharp.
Spencer Speedway is located just fifteen minutes east of Rochester, NY,
along Route 104 in the Town of Williamson. Spencer Speedway is
the local “NASCAR Place to Race” for Central New York in 2017.
Points earned each week at Spencer are counted as part of the
national NASCAR Whelen All-American Point Chase.
